[RECIPE] Bibimbap
Bibimbap is one of the most well-known Korean dishes—a rice bowl topped with a variety of seasoned vegetables, meat, and a perfectly fried sunny-side-up egg. This easy, one-pot version is made in a rice cooker, perfect for busy nights. Just add all the ingredients to the rice cooker, let it do the work, and enjoy a flavorful, savory, and slightly spicy rice dish packed with textures and umami.

Ingredients:
[Rice Base]
- 2 rice cup Uncooked Rice (Rice options)
- 350 ml Water
[Toppings]
- 1/4 lb Shaved Beef
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Dried Spinach
- 1/2 cup Dried Carrot
- 1 cup Bean Sprouts
[Sauce]
- 1/4 cup Yakiniku Sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Torigara Powder (chicken stock)
- 1 tsp Gochujang
[Finishing Touches]
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- Sunny-side-up Eggs
- Sesame Seeds
- Additional Gochujang
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients
- Rinse the bean sprouts
- Cut the shaved beef into bite-size pieces and sesason lightly with salt.
- Assemble in the Rice Cooker:
- Rince the rice and place it in the rice cooker with 350 ml of water.
- In a small bowl, mix together the yakiniku sauce, Torigara Powder, and gochujang.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over rice.
- Add the sahved beef, dried spinach, dried carrots, and bean sprouts on top of the rice.
- Cook:
- Start the rice cooker and let it cook as usual.
- Once done, let it steam for an additional 10 minutes without opening the lid.
- Final Touches:
- Drizzle seasme oil over the cooked rice mixture and close the lid for another 3 minutes. Gently mix everything together.
- Serve:
- Scoop the rice into serving bowls.
- Top each bowl with a sunny-side-up egg and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
- Serve with additional gochujang on the side for extra spice.
