At the rice factory New York, we believe that great food starts with great ingredients — and that rice deserves the same care and attention as any other essential part of a meal.
Since opening in New York in 2019, we have worked to introduce freshly polished Japanese rice and Japanese food culture to customers across the United States.
We are looking for people who enjoy working with others, take pride in doing things well, and are willing to learn and improve. Experience is a plus, but attitude, responsibility, and teamwork matter just as much.
As we continue to grow, we want to build a team where each person can take ownership, contribute ideas, and grow together with the company.

Part-time & Full-time positions available
We are currently looking for team members to join our New York store and operations team.
Positions may involve customer service, order fulfillment, packing and shipping, inventory management, rice preparation, and general store operations.
Pay: $17–25 per hour
Example of Duties
Responsibilities vary depending on the position and schedule, but may include:
• Assisting customers in-store and explaining our Japanese rice and related products
• Operating the register and handling retail orders
• Polishing, weighing, and packing rice
• Picking and packing online and wholesale orders
• Receiving, organizing, and counting inventory
• Keeping the store, work areas, and equipment clean and organized
• Supporting shipping and order fulfillment
• Assisting with local deliveries as needed, for qualified drivers
• Helping improve store displays and day-to-day operations
Full-time team members may also take on additional responsibilities such as inventory control, wholesale order fulfillment, deliveries, and operational improvements based on experience and ability.
Working Hours
-Part-time
Flexible shifts, generally between 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
We will do our best to accommodate your availability when scheduling.
-Full-time
Typically 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, including a meal break.
Schedule is generally five days per week, based on operational needs.
Compensation & Growth
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Compensation is reviewed based on performance, responsibilities, reliability, and contribution to the team.
