 A limited supply of rice that has won numerous Grand Prix gold medals in Japan is now available.

Inochi-no Ichi is 1.5 times larger than regular Koshihikari grains and has a stronger aroma, sweetness, and stickiness, giving it an unprecedented taste. It is also hard to harden even when cold, so you can enjoy its taste in onigiri (rice balls) and lunch boxes. Inochi-no Ichi has larger grains, so the ears hang down larger than those of regular Koshihikari.

First time ordering brown Ichino-no-ichi

Wow! Shocked to say it might be as good or even better than the pound of white rice. Second time reordering this type of rice, and I foresee always keeping plenty on hand - both brown and white. It’s delicious, keeps cold beautifully, and a real treasure. Even the family requests it now! Highly recommend cooking in a donabe, it really lets this plump, large rice shine.

Superb

The aroma, texture and taste of this varietal is a sublime experience. I lived in Japan for many years and this rice has transported me back in time. I wish I had found “ rice factory “ sooner, but better late than never!
