[RECIPE] Salmon and Mushrooms Mixed Rice

Takikomi Gohan is a Japanese mixed rice dish with a variety of ingredients. This salmon and mushrooms mixed rice is packed with protein and umami-rich mushrooms, making it perfect for a simple meal. (Served in Hakusan Rice Bowl Hakuji Sendan, small)



Serving: 4-5
Time: 90 minutes


  • 2 cups Rice
  • 400 ml water

[Mixing ingredients]




    1. Add dried Shiitake to a cup of water to rehydrate the mushrooms for 15-20 minutes, then cut into small strips.
    2. Cut off the stems of the remaining mushrooms and separate them into small clusters. 
    3. Season the salmon with a sprinkle of salt. 
    4. Wash the rice and place it in the cooker pot, then add water. 
    5. Add the prepared mushrooms and salmon to the rice, then pour in the Dashi soy sauce, Sake, and Mirin. 
    6. Cook the rice using the "mixed rice" mode if available, otherwise, cook it as regular rice. 
    7. Once cooked, stir quickly to mix the rice and ingredients evenly.
