[RECIPE] Spam Musubi
Spam Musubi is a classic Hawaiian snack that's both sweet and savory. Rich and salty slices of spam are pan-fried to perfection in a teriyaki-style glaze and wrapped in Nori seaweed, creating a perfect on-the-go treat. This recipe includes a simpl hack for shaping the Musubi, making it easy to mold into a perfect rectangle. Perfect for those potlucks or a tasty snack at home!

Recipe:

Ingredients:
- 4 cups Cooked Rice (Rice Options)
- 1 can Spam
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 4 pcs Nori Seaweed (4x8 inch)
Instructions:
- Cook the rice to prepare. (See How to Cook Rice)
- Cut each sheet of nori in half, creating 2x8 inch strips.
- Cut the spam into 8 equal pieces.
- Heat a pan and cook the spam slices on both sides until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, Mirin, and sugar. Pour the mixture into the pan, coating each slice of spam evenly. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Line a clean, empy spam can with pastic wrap, leaving some wrap hanging over the sides. Place 1/2 cup of rice into the can and pres down firmly with a spoon to pack the rice, especially in the corners. Lift the rice block out pulling the plastic wrap.
- Place a slice of spam on top of each rice block. Wrap each with a strip of Nori. Wrap the entire Musubi in plastic wrap to hold its shape.
- Unwrap the Spam Musubi just before serving and enjoy.
