[RECIPE] Tuna Corn Rice
Tuna and corn are a classic combination in rice dishes, offering a balance of savory and sweet flavors. This easy-to-make Tuna Corn Recipe uses brown rice for added nutrition but works well with white rice as a substitute. It's a family-friendly dish that can be prepared with minimal effort, making it perfect for busy weeknights.

Time: 60 minutes (plus 3-4 hours to soak rice)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Brown Rice (Rice Options)
- 400 ml Water
- 1/4 pc Onion
- 1 pc Small Carrot
- 1/2 Can Corn
- 1 can Tuna
- 1 pack Vegetable Dashi
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
Instructions:
- Rinse the brown rice, then soak it in water for 3-4 hours.
- Finely chop the onion and dice the carrot.
- Transfer the drained brown rice to a rice cooker or a pot. Add water, vegetable dashi powder (open the packet), and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
- Place the chopped onion, carrot, corn, and drained tuna on top of hte rice mixture. Do not stir, let the ingredients cook as they are.
- Cook the rice:
- If using a pot, bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and cook for another 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow the rice to steam for 10 minutes without opening the lid.
- If using a rice cooker, follow the brown rice cooking instructions.
- Once the rice is done, fluff it with a rice scoop. Serve hot and enjoy with a side of vegetable soup.
