Favorite rice

This is my favorite rice I’ve tried yet, and I feel like I’ve tried enough varieties to consider myself experienced It has a very light taste and has a nice chew but is just a bit “harder” than other types of rice I’ve had. It stands out because it’s much more on the savory side than the sweet side- which I enjoy as someone who doesn’t like sweetness. I’d recommend keeping your rice in an airtight container in the fridge (trust me, makes a HUGE difference in flavor, regardless of variety). I usually use less water and soak for an hour in the fridge.

Nanatsuboshi from Hokkaido is wonderful!!

One of our family favorite. Hokkaido Nanatsuboshi is wonderful rice! Highly recommended for those who miss the aroma, texture and the taste of true Japanese short grain rice.
